Get the inside details of the 1986 Geraldo Rivera television special, “The Mystery of Al Capone’s Vaults,” acted out live beneath  the streets of Chicago at the Lexington Hotel as a “vault” was broken into in real time to search for A Capone’s supposed gangland riches. Richard Crowe, invited to appear on the show, was dropped after he informed producers of the truth – that the so-called “secret vault” was public knowledge in the 1930s and therefor no “treasure” would be found there.
