The following restaurants are popular stops for my groups wanting a more food-oriented, sit down meal. They are chosen for location as well as quality and quantity of food. Please read carefully and call Richard Crowe with any additional questions.

 

DAYTIME TOUR / DES PLAINES VALLEY ROUTE:

Portillo’s in  Forest Park
This is the usual stop for a food break on this route on a public tour. If you’d just like a quick break, this site is perfect.

Sawa’s Old Warsaw, 9200 W.  Cermak, Broadview. 
Features hearty buffet of American and Polish favorites.

Triple Crown, 665 Pasquinelli Dr. , Westmont
Family style special menu @ $11 (inclusive) featuring two appetizers (egg roll and fried shrimp), four entrees (sweet & sour pork, beef w/ vegetables, chicken black bean & garlic sauce, shrimp chow mein, fried rice, tea and fortune cookies. NITETIME TOUR / CHICAGO CITY ROUTE:

Red Lion Pub, 2446 N. Lincoln Ave. , Chicago. 
Cozy and quaint pub atmosphere.
Famous haunted site featured on numerous TV programs. Group catering includes choices like fish & chips, chicken pot pie, etc. To discuss choices call Joe Heinen at 773-348-2695.

Chinatown
’s famous haunted restaurant. Same menu as its twin in Westmont (see above). Same price, menu, contact.

Parthenon Restaurant (Greektown),  314 S. Halsted, Chicago. 
The restaurant that invented flaming saganaki (cheese)! Great lamb, beef, chicken as well as seafood specialties, all done with Greek flair. The perfect choice for a more robust fare without the long steakhouse wait. For options call Yanna or Chris at 312-726-2407.
